Man finds 'animals' in his monitor
Spotted something strange while browsing digg.com today - a story about an insect living inside an LCD monitor. There's even video on YouTube.
Going off the Apple.com forums posts it would seem we have named and identified the 'little animal'
That my friend is a 'springtail'. Its a tiny little insect and you have a bigger problem than you think. If you have them in your monitor, they're in your home, they're just hard to see. They get in your bed, in the sheets/pillows, on the couches, blankets, desk, counters, sinks, bathtubs, toilets(easiest place to find them in sinks/toilets/tubs)..these things are relentless and they nest, so there can be up to 10k of these.
I could imagine Karl Pilkington staring at the insect for hours.

Just one bug of that sort doesn't sound too gross, but 10,000… yikes, that makes me itchy just thinking about it.
